Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 8, 2026 · Last Updated: May 8, 2026

01 INTRODUCTION

Liquid ("Liquid," "we," "our," or "us") operates a mobile application and related services (the "Platform") that allow users to load funds, earn discounts, and pay at Liquid partner locations. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

02 INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information You Provide Directly
  • Account information: full name, email address, date of birth, and any other information you provide at registration or in your profile
  • Communications: messages or inquiries you send to our support team
Information We Collect Automatically
  • Transaction records: amounts loaded, Liquid Cash balances, payments made, discounts applied, and partner locations visited
  • Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and in-app activity logs
  • Push notification tokens: device tokens used to deliver discount and promotional alerts (stored only if you grant notification permissions)
Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store your payment card numbers, bank account details, or any other raw financial instrument data. All card processing is handled exclusively by Stripe. When you load funds, your card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure interface and are never transmitted to or stored by Liquid.

03 HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process and record Liquid Cash transactions
  • Calculate and apply discounts at partner locations
  • Send transaction confirmations and receipts
  • Deliver push notifications for flash sales and off-peak discount windows (if you opt in)
  • Verify that you meet the minimum age requirement (18+)
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or abuse
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Improve and personalize the Platform

04 HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

Stripe

We share transaction data with Stripe, Inc., our payment processing partner, solely to facilitate the loading of funds and the payment of merchants. Stripe's use of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Partner Merchants

When you complete a payment at a partner location, we share the transaction details — amount, discount applied, and timestamp — with that merchant for their records. Merchants do not receive your full payment details or wallet balance.

Service Providers

We may engage third-party vendors to help operate our infrastructure, analytics, and customer support. These vendors are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Liquid, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers

If Liquid is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such transfer and any changes to this Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

05 DATA RETENTION

We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter, or as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Transaction records may be retained for up to seven (7) years for accounting and legal compliance purposes.

06 SECURITY

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

07 CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Platform is intended solely for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate that account and delete associated data promptly. We assume no liability for information fraudulently provided to us.

08 YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings or the Liquid app

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at: team@liquidwallet.co

09 CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date and, for material changes, notify you via the app or email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

10 GOVERNING LAW

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual (non-class) basis.
